Mumford and Sons…Just Press Play

May 21, 2013

So I came across this funny video the other day and it’s a Weird Al type tribute to all the grandeur that is the Mumford and Sons. If you don’t know who Weird Al is, chances are that you came across this blog in an attempt to Google search for the Hungarian Porn Star Weird Al;) Well keep searching buddy! Trust me, the Weird Al that I am talking about was making parody songs long before The Lonely Island or Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. If you follow music at all, you know that folk bands have become very trendy recently. It’s kinda like the mid 90’s explosion of boy bands and we all know how those poor bastards turned out. TMZ reported that the poor dudes from 98 Degrees recently released an album last week and the best gig they could book to promote the damn thing was a re-run of Alf. I like Mumford and Sons and I will not bash on them that bad. M&S first album was better to me than the recent Babel album but I will leave that up to you to decide for yourself.  I am thinking that this “folk explosion” will be ending its fifteen minutes of fame very soon. If there is one thing that I have learned from following music it’s this. People always want something new and they have short attention spans. If you are honest with yourself Mumford and Sons are really just the new Coldplay in many ways.

Marcus Mumford is about to commit career suicide by calling on the services of one Jay Z. Marcus wants to rap on the groups next album in a sort of Beastie Boys meets twangy love songs dealing with having sex with a goat kinda thing. I promise you that I am not making this shit up…it’s worth a Google.  Marcus could be right on point with this one! Shitty white rappers have become popular once again, the wheel has finally spun its way back around. Limp Bizkit is currently dropping an album in a matter of months so get ready…lol. Not my best post but feel free to leave a comment on any new bands that you maybe digging at the moment. Thanks for stopping by!!!!! http://themusiccave.com/

  1. OMG. Hilarious. Thank you for sharing this. The Mumford one was great.

  2. 98 degrees? Not gonna lie, I forgot all about them. Also, God please don’t let them put rap on the album. I love rap, but if I want to listen to it… I’ll put on Eminem and call it a night.

Also, I might have a Weird Al album in my possession. We don’t speak of it, but everyone in my house knows it’s there.

  3. Somebody essentially assist to make significantly posts I might state. That is the first time I frequented your website page and thus far? I amazed with the research you made to create this particular submit amazing. Magnificent process!
