Tricky Lady

November 7, 2011

Have you ever noticed that when it comes to like anniversaries, Valentines Day, and birthdays some women will tell you not to get them anything? Let me be the first to tell you they are effectively lying their asses off. All women want something on special occasions. This is just a test for men. A test to prove you can read through the BS, and come up with something. It’s times like these you have to step up and think outside the box. Let me give the guys out there a tip, you do not always have to give your girl a Tiffany’s necklace. Women tend to be more impressed with thoughtfulness. So here is a cost analysis for ya. You can buy a set of diamond earrings for an anniversary, followed by a nice dinner out. That will put you in a good place, but may set you back several stacks in the bank account. Here is what you can do to save money and make a bigger splash. You research a recipe, something new, and cook her a nice dinner at home. Turn  all distractions off, you gotta keep it just the two of you. Then you find something from your first date/anniversary that means something to both of you. Find that old KC and Joe Joe cd, put and that shit on…lol. Blow the dust off the Dawson’s Creek box set and have that playing in the background, whatever just take em back. Get them a nice inexpensive gift, just make the effort. Above all look them in the eye, and give them a genuine compliment. Sometimes we get so caught up in our daily running, we forget what it’s all about. It’s about the twinkle in her eye on the first date. The nervous anxiety you felt when you started dating, and trying like Hell to be cool. Then thank her for putting up with all of your shit. A toast to the ladies we’ve loved and the ladies we’ve lost. That is the word. Happy anniversary to my Rose.
